"Moms Band Together"

I’m so proud of all of the local moms that have come forward to help start the support group for mom with newborns.

After the case of the mother who threw her newborn baby girl across the room, causing her death (you can read about this by clicking on the story called "Mother throws newborn" on the right side of this page"), there was an outcry of mothers wanting to do something to help.

Most moms wondered if that mother could have possibly been depressed or had post-partum depression. I guess anything’s possible. Having been through PPD myself, I understand the frustration that can occur at a moment's notice. This is why a group like this is needed.

We’re having our first meeting this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. A bunch of moms from RedRiverMoms.com are getting together. I think it’s going to be a blast!

I think Shreveport/Bossier has the best moms in the country! Southerners really are more friendly than other places.
