"Bossy"

I've recently started noticing that my 5-year-old is becoming very bossy. He's usually the laid back child. He's always been outspoken, but never bossy.

For example, I took him to the doctor this morning. Every time he goes, he gets a sucker when he's done; if he's been good.

When we came the spot where the bucket of suckers usually sit, the bucket wasn't there. So, he yells out, "I want a sucker, and I want it right now!"

I almost fell on the floor from embarrassment.

Why is he all of a sudden so bossy and rude? Is it a phase? Have any of you experienced this at this age?

"Six is Chaotic"

They say that two's company and three's a crowd. Well, if that's true, what is six?

I know; six is chaotic!

That's how many people we currently have living in our house. My husband's sons are here b/c they're out on Spring Break.

So, we have my husband and I, a 5 year old, an 8 year old, a 9 year old, and a 10 year old. They are all boys!

I've quite gotten used to the chaos that goes on in my house. The destruction is just collateral damage.

I've come to realize that I would much rather have 4 boys in the house than 4 girls, or even 2 girls. It seems to me that girls are just harder. Of course, people with all girls say that boys are harder.

I don't know that I could handle having to entertain someone all the time.

It's just so easy with boys. They will play with sticks and bugs and stuff like that. For the most part, you don't have to fix their hair. My 5 year old is a different story. His hair has to be gel'd, wet, and dried every morning.

Even though my boys are destructive and keep the house chaotic, I wouldn't have it any other way.
