"A Series of Unfortunate Events"
I wanted to update everyone on my progress on this diet.
A series of unfortunate events led me to fold this past weekend. I was doing really well. Then, Saturday morning I started getting really bad headaches. The ladies at Metabolic told me to expect them. I guess it's detox from caffeine, sugar, and salt. Well, they were right.
Since I had such horrible headaches, I threw up when I tried to eat. So, of course, the logical thing to do was grab a few Pringles chips. That did the trick! I ate about 5 of them. Those 5 kept me from losing any weight that day.
Then, Sunday night, I spend several hours in the emergency room with my 8 year old son. We thought he had broken his foot on the trampoline. Thank God it was sprained. He ended up on crutches. Well, anyway, I had to eat dinner out of a vending machine that night. I tried to pick the healthiest thing they had. But, since there were no pretzels, I ended up eating salted peanuts.
So, I went in to weigh Wednesday. I weighed 205. I figured I would have gained weight. I'm thankful that I didnt.
I'm back to my regular routine and back on the diet. I also went to the gym for the first time in years today. It felt great!
