"Gotta love little boys"

I have to share something that my 5 year old son said to me this morning.

I was laying in the bed and he crawled in beside me and woke me up.

I was laying on my side. For all of you women that have had babies, you will understand this. When I lay on my side, all of my fat kind of falls over to my side as if it's no longer part of my body.

Well, my son put his arm around me and said, "Mommy, how did you get so fat?"

As most women do, I said, "From having babies son".

He looked up at me with those big brown eyes and so innocently said, "It looks like you're having another one".

Enough said. Time to get back on the diet.

"Deadly Internet Hoax"

Have you heard about the internet hoax that has recently been in the news that resulted in the death of a 13-year old girl? If you haven’t, please click HERE.

This is extremely troubling to me. My kids are not old enough to be involved in things like My Space yet, but it scares me nonetheless.

This poor girl was the victim of a classmate's mother. The mother pretended to be a 16-year old boy that showed interest in her. Then, towards the end, she sent messages to her stating that “the world would be better off without her”.

This girl was already suffering from depression, and the mother that did the hoax knew that. Apparently, she was trying to get information about the girl. This is why she did it in the first place. However, it makes me wonder why she decided to be so mean? Was she trying to push the girl to kill herself? She had to have known that it was a possibility.

Do you think that there should be a law against this type of crime? What should the punishment be?

"Mother Throws Newborn"

I’m certain that this topic will spark a lot of controversy, but I feel compelled to write about it.

I’m sure most of you have read about the mother who threw her newborn baby across the room, then snatched her up and subsequently broke her arm. If you haven’t heard the story, click here:

This is so tragic.

There is nothing that justifies what this mother did. However, I find myself trying not to be judgmental. It’s hard though.

I understand that being the mother of two small children is extremely stressful. I had a newborn with colic. Trust me, I know.

Maybe this mom just snapped. Maybe she had an anger problem. Who knows.

It says that the fiancée said she was a good person. That’s got to count for something.

What’s your opinion? Do you think that the mother snapped? Do you think that she was just an abusive mother?

UPDATE (9-19-07....5:03 p.m.): I just saw that the baby girl was pronounced dead a few minutes ago. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Do you think she should be charged with muder?
